I love swings.
So I must confess that, the other day when I visited Cozy Cove Market and stopped at Cozy Cottages Interior Design, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to try out their swing.
It’s a very simple design, suspended on chains, and just simple wood, with a single cushion and a wealth of show/hide pose [...]

As I told you a few days ago, the view from my castle window has been distorted by a rather large, rather ugly banana palm that has been planted full square in front of the window by neighbours in the next sim.
Rather than get into a confrontation with the new neighbours about it (after [...]

I think I’ve found a way to distribute the magazines, once we launch on May 1st. But I’d be interested in hearing how other people distribute material across a number of sims (without having to visit them all individually, or pass material out via a group of the like-minded.
Any thoughts?

On my ramblings today, I came across Cozy Cove Market and - among other things that will be blogged about in good time - I was interested to see the effects that had been created with a rather interesting window design, which I hadn’t seen before.
It used a texture to give the effect of [...]

I have just started using Flickr to upload the full images of places or furniture that I refer to in the blog.
How do people feel about that? Flickr offers more facilities, available to use. My own server was just dishing up the image plain and unadorned.
Which would people prefer?

As some of you know, my home in SL is my castle - quite literally. I have a pretty castle in the corner of a private sim, right be the sea (in fact, my castle replaced a dilapidated lighthouse). I’d say it was a small castle but it does have a most spectacular [...]

As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, the redesign on the Venice sim means that I’ll be packing up my office and moving in the new future. But the Venice builders very kindly said that I could choose my own new building if I wanted. I googled some Venice images and finally found [...]

I make no secret of the fact that I’m a fan of glassware. I love Tiffany lamps, stained glass, and glassware generally. And I like the fact that, in Second Life, textures mean that you can do wonderful things with glass, at very low prim cost.
So I was very pleased the other day [...]

It’s rare that I arrive at a shop/store/mall/whatever and my first reaction is to take a picture of it. But Odaesan House is somewhat different from the average store. Designed by Zeug Thalheimer and Troy Vogel, it’s a house filled with beautiful things by a range of designers - and the quality on the [...]

As you know, the Prim Perfect Offices are on Venice Island, a comparatively new sim. It’s a loose recreation of Venice, centred around St Mark’s Square, with canals on all sides (you can take a gondola trip and explore for yourselves).
I love it. I love the fact that, when I’ve finished fiddling with [...]
