The sims of Extropia are celebrating their first anniversary on Tuesday, November 11. Extropia is a society based on a positive vision of the future, a utopian place for humans, transhumans, and non-humans to live and create. It was also featured as the landscape of the month in the Summer 2008 issue of Prim Perfect magazine.
Buildings in the sim reflect the residents’ visions of the future, whether on land, under the water, or above in the skies. It is also the home base on the grid for transhuminists and the Cosmic Engineers. As seems the norm around Extropia, their meeting place is extremely friendly. There is a typical bar with chairs surrounding it, but the piles of pillows on the floor are much more popular with both the members and visitors.
The main anniversary celebration is a party at Club Suncrown, Dirac Sea, from 4pm – 10pm SLT. Three DJs are on the schedule to perform. The music promises to be great as the revelers dance on a mesmerizing floor. Although the party is in the evening, stop by at any time. Other citizen-sponsored events may occur throughout the day, and the best way to experience Extropia is to see it for yourself. Come, explore, and meet the residents!
