Patron

Patron

I went over to Eliza Wierwight’s beautiful region of Patron earlier to take a picture for today’s jigsaw using the new Phototools in Firestorm, and found it a frustrating experience.  Whether it was a problem with the age and slowness of my machine (which usually is not too bad – although it does periodically Have Issues with certain updates), whether it was because I threw an additional spanner into the works by attempting to save to an external hard drive and thus making it A Bridge Too Far, or whether it was problems with the region, or with the server.  That again and again is the problem – that it is hard to decide at what level the problem might lie.

However, I was eventually able to save a picture by toning down the graphics a little and saving to the desktop.  So …

Let’s do a jigsaw!

Sailing the Blake Sea

Sailing the Blake Sea

As I was writing my earlier post on Could Second Life expand the LEA model to create a Role Play endowment?, I looked for some illustrations to go with the text and – as one of the areas I talked about was the Blake Sea, I naturally browsed the Flickr stream of that intrepid mariner, Admiral Wildstar Beaumont!

As one would expect, the Admiral has some lovely shots of the Blake Sea, with locations and craft figuring in his beautiful images. And he also has some stunning records of voiyages he has made – it’s certainly well worth a look!

But after, of course, you have done a jigsaw.
