Prim Perfect: Issue 51 - April 2014 - Cover

Prim Perfect: Issue 51 – April 2014 – Cover

The new issue of Prim Perfect is out now!

They say that only February is the romantic month, what with Valentine’s Day and all that … but surely it’s “In the Spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love” as Alfred, Lord Tennyson says … and that goes for men not so young – and women of all ages too!

So in this issue we are celebrating the disappearance of winter and the coming of spring with an issue all about romance … you may even find a few stray (and unusual) Valentine thoughts have crept in too!

We’ve looked at romantic venues this month, with the lovely region of Oubliette being our Region of the Month.

I explored Oubliette – and Ode – and talked to its creator, Saiyge Lotus. Carissa Starfall has picked out ten wonderfully romantic places, while Ceejay Writer’s poem chooses ten … er … unlikely venues!

The Designer of the Month has a distinctly romantic flair too, for it is Elicio Ember of Cerridwen’s Cauldron, who is interviewed by Joonie Jatho.

In her Spotlight on Business this month, Qwis Greenwood looks at two stores that have a decidedly romantic bent.

We have three new series for 2014. Firstly, we are producing a series of room decoration articles. Each issue, Samantha Ohrberg will design a different room with items from the very best creators in Second Life – and tell you where you can get the items displayed!

Secondly, we are reflecting a popular activity in Second Life by starting a regular restaurant review column. Each month our dinners will go out to dinner at a Second Life restaurant and discuss the ambience, the food, the service – and the cost! Join us for the first of our restaurant visits.

Thirdly, we’ll be taking a look at popular games in Second Life, starting with the perennial Tiny Empires. What is this game – and why do people play? Ethan Westland finds out for us!

In our nonprofit news section, Beq Janus tells us about the launch of Relay for Life and the plans for the 2014 season – and beyond – and there’s an article on our One Billion Rising event.

In our regular features, Rosamoo Mendelsohn tells us all about those very special new awards – the Hunties! There’s exciting news from our TV shows Designing Worlds and Happy Hunting!, available on Treet TV.

There’s more in our series on working with mesh from Beq Janus, too – and a special gift for you!

Our team of talented photographers, led by Wildstar Beaumont, Samantha Ohrberg, Winona Wiefel, Judith LeFevre, and Honour McMillan, bring you some of the most artistic eye candy from across the metaverse.

Prim Perfect Head Offices have changed their address!

Previously we were located in the Irish Isles. Now we have, seemingly, moved south and east the the Seychelles!

In actual fact, we were located in the Irish Isles on Irish Aran Island.  Now the Irish Isles have shifted their locationto the fringes of the Blake Sea and – in celebration, have changed their name and identity the the Seychelles Isles.  And our new location is Pointe LaRue Isle.

We still have our beautiful offices, designed by Dijodi Dubratt and landscaped by Aisling Sinclair.  And we will be holding events here over the coming months, with talks by designers and other celebrations.  We hope to be taking part in some of the events organised in the Seychelles too,
