Metamakeover PosterMeta Makeover is one of the new range of shows from SLCN, Second Life’s very own cable network – brought to you by Prim Perfect productions, the people behind Prim Perfect magazine and the Prim Perfect blog.

And now Meta Makeover has its own blog too – click here to read it

Here you can read up on the latest news about Second Life’s very own makeover programme.

It is shown every two weeks, on Sundays at 12pm SLT, where we make over a Second Life home! And the next show will be this Sunday, 9th March at the SLCN studios in Northpoint – and everyone is welcome (but you should be there by 11.45 to make sure of getting a seat).

The programme is presented by Saffia Widdershins, the Editor of Prim Perfect Magazine and Kymbah Spicer of La!Ti~Da! Furniture – and this week we’ll be working with The Loft, who have done a makeover for a gorgeous beach house in Matanzas owned by Skate Foss.

Come and join us – and don’t forget to keep reading the new blog!

Would you like your home to feature on Meta Makeover? Send an email to us with three or four pictures of your home attached, and stating your reasons why you would like a makeover. Every two weeks, we shall select one lucky owner from our postbag and invite them to be our next Meta Makeover!

Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are TWELVE stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Organized Confusion - Hunt itemThe Mystic bed is the featured item in this clue to be found somewhere in the Organized Confusion in Zandis Folly. This design is new for 2008. It comes with 4 poses which disappear with a click. The purple and berry shades give the bed a warm, rich feel while the sheer curtains provide a sense of intimacy. The bed is displayed with coordinating furniture, carpeting, and paintings, but it’s the bed that has the prim count you need for the Hunt.

Another one of the newer designs within Zandi’s store is the Hue collection. Organized Confusion - Hue collectionModern in style, it is colored in shades of black and white. The collection includes a living room set and dining area, with a fireplace acting as a room divider. The fire itself has a nice animation, slowly coming to life and gradually dying when turned on and off. The Hue collection also includes rugs, wall art, and curtains to complete the look.

For the treasure hunt competition, find as many prim counts as you can for the magazine’s treasure hunt items, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreaker question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 90). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker. Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can. The deadline has been extended so you have until March 10th, 2008 to send in your entry.
