Here is the new issue of Prim Perfect—rather later than planned! Unfortunately, events conspired to gobble up key members of staff—such as a certain Birthday Party that managed to grab up my time rather more than I had been expecting!
But here now is our Summer Issue, packed with information about the smaller members of our Second Life community, with a look at Tinies, Petites, and even a few Micros!
Our Region Of The Month is the fascinating Raglan Shire—heart of the Tiny community.
Honour McMillan has been exploring there while Java Jetcity has picked out ten places that you will surely want to visit, especially if you are doing our Tiny Quest!
To complete the Tiny Quest you will need to find thirty numbered tokens, which will lead one lucky person to win L$5,000—and an amazing box of Tiny-themed treasures too!
Ten of the tokens are hidden in the ten special places in Raglan Shire described in Java Jetcity’s article, some more are at the Prim Perfect headquarters, some are hidden at the Designing Worlds studio… but no fewer than ten tokens are hidden in the pages of this magazine! For details on how to find them, see Page 10.
We also have interviews with Zayn Till, the owner of Raglan Shire, and with Wynx Whiplash, who is the creator of the wonderful Tiny avatars—Wildstar Beaumont and Tricia Aferdita have been finding out all about them!
Rowan Derryth has been looking at the biggest and smallest avatars she could find, meeting the creators of the Giants and of the Micros, while Beq Janus looks at how a Linden Home can be turned into a snug retreat for Petites with the aid of designers Angie Mornington and Dellybean North.
This issue also reflects on some of the key events of the summer. We have a report by Cain Maven on the fabulous Home and Garden Expo back in May, a look at the celebrations for Second Life’s Ninth Birthday in June, and a report by Beq Janus on the climax to Relay for Life 2012—the Relay Weekend in July.
Winona Wiefel is on hand with Advice for Newcomers on making a beach blanket—so you will be able to soak up the sunshine! And there’s more news about the most recent bargains from Spruce Up Your Space, as well as a feature article by Lacey Muircastle on the Homestuff initiative from the people behind Menstuff and Womenstuff.
There’s exciting news from our TV shows, Designing Worlds and Happy Hunting!, available on Treet TV.
And of course we have free Prim Perfect gifts for you. Gifts are only available in Second Life through our inworld Intellibook version. And, of course, amongst the gifts you will find the tokens that will help you win the Quest.
Our team of talented photographers, led by PJ Trenton, Judith Lefevre, GM Nikolaidis, Tricia Aferdita, Winona Wiefel, Wildstar Beaumont, and Honour McMillan bring you some of the most artistic eye candy from across the metaverse.
All this with News From the Grid and more!
